Many conditions (kidney disease, dental disease, thyroid conditions, heart disease, diabetes, cancer and arthritis) are easier to manage proactively and often treatable if diagnosed early enough.  A pet is considered “senior” from the age of seven years of age and taking your pet to the vet once a year is the same as seeing your doctor or dentist every seven years – scary thought!
